Been distracted over a show adaptation of my favorite book. I don’t have high hopes for the show, but hope to be proven wrong when it airs in about 6 weeks.
I know they’ll have to cut about 70% of the books but Jordan did have a habit of creating fully fleshed charters that did one scene and were never heard from again or taking longer to set up plot points than was absolutely necessary. They’ll also have to change things so the people that don’t read can keep up but I think they can pull this off. Just remember the first rule of screen adaptation; you can’t put a book on the screen.
yeah, but I’ve been following this closely since it was announced a few years back and there are some changes that have me really concerned, won’t know how it turns out till next month when it releases but they already fired one of the main cast and recast him for season 2 which they are currently filming, so that is also a really troubling sign… It’s my favorite book series so will be holding it to a very high standard.
