Zoe Zero
First page of the new start of the series. I will try to update 3x a week till its done. Think it was 23 pages total when I sketched it all. Posting Mon, Tues, and Friday nights.
To clarify since some people seem to be confused. This isn’t a reboot, it is extra stuff before ch1. Once it finishes I will redraw the chapters and possibly add some extra pages to better explain things. While all of this is going the comic will continue as normal but with the new art style. The comic isn’t ending and being restarted. Ch10 will go for like 5 or so more pages and then ch11 (which is still part of the Zoe’s Pussy arc) will start and that one will be another big chapter, and that SHOULD finish the Zoe’s Pussy arc. Not sure the name I’ll go with for the next arc but my plans have always been for it to mostly adapt the various times in past versions that Zoe and Damien go camping alone.
so this is a reboot then? Not seeing how this is a continuation of the story in a different art style. Are you going to carry on with the plot of Zoe? Are you carrying on Knight Lights to give some character, story and world development?
If not then I’m out.
You draw well. You have interesting ideas. But you seem stuck in Groundhog Day.
it is not a reboot, and it is. It is 23 pages taking place the afternoon before ch1. Focused on her getting her v-card made up with Hank and learning a bit of exposition about the world, as well as setting up big plot points that are yet to happen so they don’t come from left field (Audrey’s inclusion in the comic)
Knight Lights will be finishing for a while after this current chapter. I have more story ideas for it, but it is gunna wait because there just aren’t many people reading it, so my limited time will instead go towards Zoe. Knight Lights will end with some story developments that won’t just leave it feeling unfinished.
And to clarify, the story is also continuing. I am not abandoning ch10, I’ve already done 2.5 pages of it in the new artstyle and once ch10 is done will be doing ch11 and 12 and so on.
He wanted to do a reboot.
He wanted to do one real bad but when he suggested it he got backlash. So he decided that he was “just” going to change the art style.
But he really wants to do a reboot and he’s clever so what if he just makes a whole new comic. Retelling the first few chapters of the comic and that way no one will be able to say that he rebooted it again. It’s genius it’s a reboot but if he doesn’t call it a reboot it’s not a reboot

I think it’s disingenuous to say people are confused about what you are doing here.
It’s definitely a reboot you are just trying to run it in parallel with the current version of the zoe comic. Given your history of rebooting the comic periodically I don’t think anyone is wrong for seeing this and making the relatively reasonable assumption that you are going to drop the current zoe sooner rather than later and continuing on with this zoe zero new coke edition
Don’t have any intention of that, I am quite happy with the story and art of the newer pages so I don’t see that happening in the foreseeable future. Often in the past I felt I wrote myself into a corner or just lost the passion of felt there were too many weak moments, I don’t feel that about this run of chapters. My only issue is the art being a bit week for the first 3-4 chapters and still lacking some needed exposition. the Nose and other design changes are more for others, It gets harder and harder to make it as an artist and there is some heavy anxiety about the long term so been trying to find the best way forward, had tried to do ILMB and reach a new audience, but that just hit roadblock after roadblock and never got going. As said a while back, I got about a year before money becomes desperate and I have to decide on if continuing is even possible, so till then, I am just trying my best to make a big last attempt. Even though I like Zoe’s nose it is the #1 complaint I get when I try to bring new readers to the site, so slowly replacing the pages with a Zoe that is a bit more in line with what the wider world of readers expects is sorta a hail mary. I had considered just rebooting at first in a moment of desperation but a friend suggested I work it from both sides, and that made a lot of sense. I honestly don’t really get all the negativity and all but assure you there is no plan to abandon the comic, in fact I am really excited about getting started on the next arc, there is a reason this big arc has been called Zoe’s Pussy 😉 Been something like a year setting up for it, but the next chapter will deliver on that years worth of work.
